I'm waiting to hear comformation that my golden girl Nina Haraka has been put down after an accident,Nina was in foal to Flying Spur and is the dam of Extension of Time who had a very good but somewhat unlucky year in 2007.If true RIP Nina.

Sadly the news is true,condolences to the Sangsters who gave Nina her chances at stud,a very sad day for me too as I loved that mare and she is the 2nd mare we raced to have an early death.

It's very sad to hear that, kool, and I know how much you loved each of your horses.  Memories will live on for you and you will have endless joy in watching her progeny run.

Thanks HWNN,I was surprised to see on the Stud Book site that she died 1/1/08 I only heard about it on 13/1 and haven't seen anything on any site,strange as she was a popular mare.

Finally Breeding and Racing site today advises of Nina's death.

She actually died on 9/1/08.  Stud book advised 16/1/08.
Very sad as she was in foal to Flying Spur I believe.

Jojo...I don't know where your looking I just looked back in Stud book and it still says she died on 1/1/08.

I actually am doing some work for Swettenham and I was the one who notified the stud book and didn't notify them til days afterwards....

 Nina's stunning colt by Danzero went through the Inglis sale last week and was bought by Denise Martin for 210k which I thought was cheap.
