Changed title of this thread to save confusion with Spreadsheet Handling thread.

Basic Speed Ratings: Available from calculations on Unitab download data on the Friday before MM race.

RF150111 GC71501F * HIGHEST EARNER[  9  KARUTA QUEEN W% 100 100 WITH $ 274000 CANT DROP F4
RF150111 GC71501F * SPD ORD TABNO [  9  11  5  14  15  2  10  1  3  6  12  4  7  8  16  ] T5 HI HIT
RF150111 GC71501F * WMSPD ORD TNO [  9  11  14  2  5  15  10  1  3  6  12  4  7  8  16  ] BMVR[
RF150111 GC71501F * L600 FSPD T10 [  2  5  9  6  16  14  3  11  7  4  1  12  ]* BMVRF[  16
RF150111 GC71501F * SIMUL PACE ALL[  9  11  5  12  7  2  16  15  10  3  1  8  14  6  13 ]* BMVRP[ 16

Just eyeballing the above showed clear advantage for at least [   9   11   5   ] but [    16   ] a little more obscure; and the Final order was  [   9   16   11   5   then   7    12   2   1   ]  etc...; 16 was the value place horse paying $5.30 for the place.

This attached display below is part of a test spreadsheet that I don't normally use in my analysis, but which shows the amount of money wagered on each horse on the UNITAB WIN Pool, for the Magic millions QR 7, as well as a column for the additional bets added in the last four minutes.  This shows there is a lot of money  not on just one horse to WIN, but on about six or so; Eg. No 9 (Winner), 11  (Third),  5  (Fourth),  10 ?, 6 ?,  16  (second). Now sure the eventual Winner did have the largest addition of money in the last four minutes, but that is not always the case.

The other thing it shows in the EXPERT Column EXP stands for the Expert/Expectation by "the market as a whole" for each horse; and in this context <win> stands for that horse being bet/expected  to win, and <place> stands for that horse being bet/expected to place 2nd, 3rd or , 4th ( 4th place only in my case for the First Four bet ).

So I just wonder where the believed advantage is for a late plunge punter when there are so many other large punters ( and not just the great unwashed ) with different opinions as to which horse should  win, place or likely  to run unplaced, from data easily available to all.

Not sure if that is of any interest as I was mainly only trying to get a table to display on the Forum. I normally have columns with calcs and expectations at WIN pool of about $2000+  and another at  win pool at about $10000 min., then  $30k, Last 5 minutes, then after close; and it is surprising just how little the expectation calc changes right from the $2000 mark to the Pool Closed display.

Sorry had attached wrong display again.

You were too quick Westie re my temporary comment < Did Not Work >, as I eventually found another way for it to display with columns spacing correct. I will get around to attempting to attach a TRUE spreadsheet by the method in the link you mention. But was only testing and it should be corrected.
