Foxham did well going in a bit underdone last time, looks cherry ripe for this. Mcevoy has him in career best form so i'm happy to be on, though I admittedly don't know much of the others. Weather clearing so track condition not a huge factor, probably only dead to slow.

Edit: Yep, happy with that, make him a $2.5 chance in my book, currently $4.6->$4.2 IAS. Zauberin and Big Ted should need the run. Rain Shadow's an up and comer who'll get a nice run, but will lay a mare stepping out to open class.

Relevant Zauberin stewards report from last time:

B Melham (Zauberin) was questioned after the mare was pulled up in the straight and he explained that rounding the home turn the horse faltered quite badly behind and in his opinion was consistent with a horse that had broken down and from that point he elected to ease his mount down out of the race and this was supported by the official video footage of the race.  A subsequent veterinary examination of Zauberin revealed no abnormalities.

She may be ok physically, but still missed the conditioning run, risk her I think.

Agree mate, handled a wet track when 4th over the Melb Carnival too and should have won that race, the price is a little short but I do expect Rain Shadow to be well backed.

Pfft, seriously didn't think wins over Stakhanovite was good enough form, obviously had another level left in her though, good win. I guess she was winning them dropping back in trip each time, which deserves extra credit. Foxham possibly doesn't quite run out a strong 2000 either?

Stunning win by Maunatrice.

watch the replay and laugh at the ease. Not the ability of but that win was as easy and arrogant as that handed in by Black caviar
