Of $80000.  1st $50000, 2nd $14500, 3rd $6500, 4th $3200, 5th $1800, 6th $800, 7th $800, 8th $800, 9th $800, 10th $800. For Three-Years-Old. Set Weights plus Penalties. (LISTED). This race carries a SABOIS bonus of $25,000 for qualified horses. No Allowances for apprentices.  Field Limit: 14 + 4 EM

Take forever to get their stewards reports up no idea what happened to  SHRAPNEL  unsure

C Lever, the rider of SHRAPNEL, which had performed below expectations, explained that
he had obtained a position behind mid-field with cover as he had been instructed. He added
the colt had travelled well until in the vicinity of the 600 metres when it failed to respond to his
riding and in his opinion SHRAPNEL had finished off the race only fairly. SHRAPNEL was
examined by the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon who reported the colt was exhibiting signs of
cardiac arrhythmia. Mr S Kavanagh, representing Mr M Kavanagh, the Trainer of
SHRAPNEL, was advised the results of an ECG are to be forwarded to the TRSA Veterinary
Surgeon and a Veterinary Certificate of Fitness would be required prior to the colt performing
satisfactorily in an Official Barrier Trial.
