Stewards today inquired into the results of the analysis findings of a urine sample provided by Jockey Leith Innes at the Queensland Turf Club meeting on Saturday 2 June 2007.

Jockey L Innes pleaded guilty to a charge under AR81A(1)(a) in that a urine sample provided by him on Saturday 2 June 2007 upon analysis reported the prohibited substance METHYLENEDIOXYMETHAMPHETAMINE (MDMA).

Jockey L Innes’ Jockey’s license was suspended in its entirety for a period of six (6) months which was effective from 19 June 2007, the day in which he was stood down and will expire at midnight on 18 December 2007.

In accordance with AR81A(4) Jockey L Innes must provide a urine sample clear of any prohibited substances prior to him resuming on 19 December 2007.

Kiwi jockey cops six months for Ecstasy

New Zealand Jockey Leith Innes was yesterday suspended from racing for six months on a charge of returning a positive test to a banned substance.
