I'll be backing 3 in this, Trader, Herculian Prince and Empire's Choice, I believe Trader has improvement in him on his last run and is on the bottom weight instead of the top weight, Herculian Prince (the obvious Class) and Empires Choice who has the class after running 3rd in a Group one at WFA last prep and will be good odds

Tricky little race this Glintz is really poorly weighted here but is one of only a couple that look completely comfortable at 1400M Time wise it's the best 1400M horse in the race by a fair way,

Class Runner Herculian Prince hasn't performed well over 1400M in Aus, did run 3rd over 1400 to Neeson and Cannonball but was on a H9 and settled fourth and pretty much just held it place was also second up not first up as it is here, on a Sydney Cup path can't see it being able win this.

Brilliant light, Cousin Wal, Keepin the dream can't win & reckon if Bart was serious about winning first up he'd have given Empires Choice another couple trials into this like he did his one that won the Canberra Guineas Sunday.

So Anyway, Altered Boy, Purrpurrlena and Trader are the ones other than Glintz that look suited at 1400m but I could only entertain So Anyway & Trader as being any chance and Glintz had Trader covered last start despite being only first up,

Personally I've taken 3.60 about Glintz and I'll save on So Anyway

Tevez I read somewhere that Gai is setting Herculian Prince for the Doncaster not the Sydney Cup, doubt she would have time to prepare him for a 2 miler,(just over a month away) would nearly have to be 3rd up into it, not even Gai would do that would she?
can't judge all horses the same either, what he did for Kudakalari isn't the same as what Empire's Choice may need, I doubt he has set EC for this race but he has been GR1 Placed at WFA so he has a lot more class than most of these and that entitles him to consideration and I reckon he will be $40/50 just going to save on him as if he happens to win you won't get those odds again
I do think that Trader will win though

Yeah I see he's not in the market for the Syd Cup, I know you can't treat all horse that same but I do think Trainers stick to their methods methodically and when Barts fire first up it's usually off 2 or 3 trials he's a big user of the trials.

Geez with HP being set for a mile race he'll be plenty forward for this not so confident on Glintz now not much a can do about now though  lol  Do think it's 1-2Ls better than the rest of this field over 1400M

I agree with you re Empire's Choice, just the two things in his favour is
1, At his best he is a Genuine Group One horse and there are only 2 in the race
2, He will be $40/50

Class can overcome a lot of obstacles, when you have a horse that you know is a class above them and you can get $40 about him, I would be a lot more disappointed if I don't have $20 on him and he wins than I will be if I do have $20 on him and he fails,

I think Glintz is a big show but is big unders for mine, couldn't possibly take under $8 about him, Trader meets him 5kg's better for their last clash and Brown goes on, he should be $3.50 clear fav, Gai's horse should be around $5/6 Ahdashim around the same then Glintz $8 at that price I may even back Glintz, not shorter!

If they let Glintz run along, bowl along and not hold him back to the field, he will run them off their legs.

He is a front runner in the mould if not the class of a Vo Rogue.

Tev has he ever won in open Company? he was beaten in the race at Hawkesbury (a downhill run and a Good leaders track) by Thankgodyou'rhere who gave Glintz a big start and I don't think I would want to back him here

Brilliant Light and Trader will keep him in sight, you would reckon he wouldn't get a breather mid race, not knocking him enough to make him a lay but he is big unders and doesn't deserve favouritism in my opinion,
