Mostly Lab Steve.  Bit of staffy(?) maybe.  Ate like a lab.  Very smart boy and the best I've ever seen
at nicking food from little kids.  Genius.  He'd look totally uninterested until the big moment.
I really miss my boy.  He had to be put down a few weeks before Xmas and it's probably the hardest
thing I've ever done.
Lost my dad a few weeks later so it's the worst Xmas of all time just gone.

Sorry to read that Firezuki.

Thanks Matty.

Oh mate - I'm really sorry to hear that that.

Hopefully the forum can give you a bit of smile when you're in need  Thumb Up

I was surprised - a friend lost German Shepherd he'd had for many years [like a child] went and got a new dog relatively soon after and it's worked out really well - course you'll know when you're ready.

Sorry to hear about your loses Firey tears Some of you may remember my posts from a couple of years back when I had to have our old dog put down. It really is one of the hardest things you'll ever have to do. Cried my eyes out all the way to & from the vet.

On a happier note we now have a black lab who looks & behaves a lot like the dog in that clip. Ever since our last dog left us my youngest son has kept the pressure up to get another dog but myself & the wife have held firm claiming he & the other kids are getting older(he's now 17) & will be leaving home in the next few years, leaving us with a dog. Anyway 5 months ago on a Sunday afternoon youngest son & sister stroll in with this black ball of fluff that would make your heart melt. Wife bursts into tears & I just keep repeating NO, NO, NO, NO. They say they'll look after it, feed it, walk it etc etc. I say NO YOU WON'T. All sorts of promises are made & of course we keep the damn thing.

I'm sure all the dog lovers here know the rest of the story Son & Daughter are never home & Mum & Dad walk feed & look after this georgous animal nowink

You guys are right.  I have been thinking about maybe getting another family member and perhaps the time
is right.  It'll probably be a rescued dog because I hate to think about those poor little buggers languishing
in prison - or worse.
Thanks for the support gang.

Mate - depends on what you want of course - but my friend got a greyhound through the racing program and has worked out beautifully.
