Singapore racing is gradually getting more airplay - would like to hear more about surfaces - differences - etc if you have that knowledge?

Nope, it's not my site and i'm not the one presenting. The guy presenting is Steve Levar who used to be a racing commentator in Singapore Turf Club. I've been trying to get more information on Singapore races and stumbled upon his video at his website www.racingguide.com.sg so i thought i'll just share it with everyone here since it's very professionally done.

Well there's generally two surfaces in Singapore racing. Turf and the Polytrack. For turf races, it's further divided to long course and short course. The general rule of thumb is that their long course favors runners with strong finishing while the front runners have the advantage over the short course.

For the polytrack, i'm still studying this surface but i don't see any bias at the moment.

Just sharing Steve's Singapore tips here. Manage to hit an 11 to 1 winner yesterday!!

Hey Dragon, is Steve Levar the guy that used to call the trots in QLD maybe 15 years or so ago ? I seem to remember him doing the Gold Coast trots way back then when he was quite young, i think i might have even been introduced to him when i was up there once.

Sorry mate, not too sure on that. Only seen him calling the races in Singapore awhile back and he did a good job there.

I can't find anywhere else to get an estimated odds and this is the best I can find. They use $5 as a base for their estimated odds as the minimum ticket price there is $5.

Also suggests No12 in same race.

Declares the 6-Rafaga a good thing--and combine to a "certain" exacta-with the 5. Its on at 8.30 pm.
