For several years now it's been traditional for forumites to meet up at the Brekky Creek Hotel for some beer, beef, betting and bull-shitting, on the Friday before Australia's richest sprint, the AAMI Stradbroke at Eagle Farm.

This year's event will be held at the Brisbane Racing Sports and Social Club at Ascot, right near Eagle Farm.

Its location will suit those staying in motels adjacent to EF.  Food and drink will be cheaper, and the Club is more punter friendly (than is BCH).

We won't have the sumptuous steak for which BCH is famous but I'd be optimistic we'll see a decent rump on the day.

Everyone's welcome.  BRC members just need to bring along their BRSSC card.  Visitors need to sign in.

I know some will need releases from their carer, or permission from their grandmother, or it will all depend on the weather, and whether it rains in the lead-up, blah, blah.

Forget the crap: just GET THERE.

Kickoff: NOON AEST

Anyway, welcome any comments from potential attendees.

Note to NSW punters:  777 is in dire need of help for his team.

Well, Trips has no worries in this department (hope he turns up this year  lol )---I will be there and will assist with the winning result.    biggrin

In regards to change of venue--no problems with me--I love the whole North Brissie aspect.

Looking foward to another great weekend.

I support DD's suggestion.  Another advantage is that since he has some influence there we might be able to get on after the race in the quaddie and treble legs.  no one would notice would they?

I'll certainly be trying to be there Chuggers  beer  I see DD is trying to divert the focus aging from he poor performances through recent yrs. I'm surprised there hasn't been an uprising amongst his poor followers, poor being the operative word.  lol

There was no money left last year from both sides--I had to bludge a lift from The Kid to get home--and he was kind enough to offer.

A good fella--The Kid.

Weather permitting, we'll be betting on Ipswich this year.  Just back the Justin Wood rides and we're all in the money.

Yes, Dad, there's $120 sitting in my wallet, courtesy El Dufus. Thumb Up

Just one point...I dunno whether you're aware that there's an 80kg minimum weight limit for entry to this lunch.  You might have some difficulty. unsure

Talk of a casino visit for the out of towners has been discussed on this weekend. Watch this space!
