A stallion I have never heard of had a brilliant winner yesterday at Toowoomba Azzaland, the stallion Za-Im by Green Desert has had very little interest in him at stud having only covered 112 mares in 6 seasons and has 55 foals that only 18 have been named and already he has a stakeswinner Spy Zaim and Azzaland is reported to be the fastest horse on the downs, anyone know anything of this Stallion??.

Azzaland resumed from a spell last Saturday and was again a winner,he is a real speedmachine and has a leading stable trying to buy him down south.

8)Bred to Win has a story this week on this stallion I wrote about in 2007,he now has had 18 starters for 14 wins and 2 seconds quite a strike rate for a horse under 3k service fee,Azzaland has been having soundness troubles keeping him off the track recently.

Not here, But we have purchased a few from the New Zealand ready to runs, a few years back. I think most of them ended up winning races Paris TriumphJoggeramaLove To Burn, this one could have been anything, but was killed in Melobourne, when he got away from the strapper

I take it this was the strappers fault ?

Probably not the strappers fault, but more the trainers fault ...... it was quite the sore point when it happened. He was in the care of another trainer at the time, and was supposed to come home that week to be cut and spelled. For some reason unkown, he was taken to the track on the monday morning, and coming home was being led doubles from the track, the horse was 16 - 17 hands high, and a real mongrel of a colt. Got away from the stapper, and was hit by a car Should never have been at the track in the first place, and should never have been led with another horse

Aussies have never really taken to pinhooking either, but it can be very finacially beneficial.
