Have always enjoyed the UK dogs since living in London for a few years in the early 90's.
Will post afew bets and record results at SP.
SP Markets are around 125-130% so anything near break-even would be profitable on Betfair.
Race times posted are Qld times.
The Betfair markets don't really get going until the last few minutes of betting - If a runner comes up too short I'll post a no bet message.

Horrors Hustler has come up odds on on Betfair - that's a NO BET - I don't take odds on in Greyhound races.

Wenona, Whats the story with how the dogs over there get their boxes? Someone told me it was how they run and which box suits the dog but who decides this and what if 6 dogs all want to race on the inside. I couldnt get a handle on the dog form when i lived over there.

If in a race you get 6 rail dogs then they draw it just like ours.

So is that decided before they race, at trials, or do they have some sort of novice races? Surely that system must piss off the people who study the form closely because an informed greyhound man like yourself Ara, must use their knowledge of a dogs racing pattern to their advantage.

The meetings I bet on are known as BAGS meetings.
Basically there is a pool of dogs for each track and a grader compiles races for each meeting.
The grader allocates the box positions based on the dogs running style to minimise interefence.

All dogs trial before running and are then allocated a grade based on their trials.
Dogs are then moved up or down depending on their performances. It's not like here where you start in the bottom grade and move up as you win.

I think you will find that the seeds are drawn together like normal so 3 railers are randomly drawn in boxes 1 to 3 1 middle dog must get 4 2 wides are randomly drawn in boxes 5 or 6 so I don't think the grader draws the boxes. I have tried to get a trial of this over here to no avail - I one had someone complain that it would reduce interference and his dogs needed interference because they were slow
