I hope that we get the same crowd out there this Saturday as we did for Black Caviar because the fields look outstanding! I thought last year's Winter Carnival had shaped up as the best yet, but from the depth in each race on the weekend... I think we have something to look forward to. Special reference to the BRC Sprint on that front - the horses attempting to make the Stradbroke, per medium of a method of avoiding Black Caviar and Hay List.

If one-third of Saturday's crowd turns up, I'd expect the Club to be very pleased.

they said they got 6,000 for last year's running of the BTC Cup, and with the inclusion of BC, the crowd hiked to 20,500.
Dubbledee, I think a crowd of 8,000 would be outstanding.
Who are you thinking is going to be competitive on the weekend?

fairgo, right now, I'm thinking SHOOT OUT and SCENIC SHOT as place bets. The imports certainly add some interest to the affair. Hopefully we'll get another fine day.
But, I could stop a train, at the moment. One bet over the border today, and the saddle slipped.

Haha you know when you are having a bad day when... Saw your comments in another post too about a certain Firebolt. I think that horse can sense when someone's placing money on it and decides to run accordingly... I can only hope the bandit doesn't return in the Doomben Cup... and win

Yep, I can but apologise.
He'll be there Saturday, on his best behaviour. I hope OUR LUKAS, for one, gives him a towelling.

Was caught wide down the back Magic so slid forward to get in instead of sitting wide did keep rolling once clear in the lead and opened up a sizeable lead Hung on really well imho, entitled to compound after the lead he opened up Did it matter in the end
