Has Torio's Quest had a few "runs" this time in?

Is it just me or does he either win like a good thing or run near last?

The turnaround's of he and Sincero are truly spectacular.

Funny how different training tracks have runs, both big winners today produced at Wyong?? makes you wonder chin I remember a few years ago that nearly every trainer at Taree had City class horses headed by Bob Milligan, then it moved to Kembla where quite a few trainers there had city class horses(even Group One horses)now hardly a city winner from either track chin
Just food for thought

Sincero now has had 12 starts for 8 wins--wouldn't think that he is guilty of too many form reversals.  He probably had excuses for his 2 failures and even last start when he finished 11th he was only beaten less than 5 lengths.

Torio's Quest has had 9 starts for 4 wins so he is no slouch either--improvement from last start to today could be the track conditions (last start a bog) and the ordinary class of today's race.

Big win by the Partelle steed yesterday.  Some huge bets landed.

Obviously dry conditions are key - irrespective of the GC result.

Look out for much more later in the year.

Some nice runs by the Qlders but they were in another league.

Looks pretty smart the winner.

As dd has stated some big bets landed with TQ.

Happy with the run of Havatryst under the circumstances( check stewards' report). From where I was perched up in the stand I thought we had ran into 5th place and prizemoney but had to settle for 6th

Stepping up to the mile for the first time as well as a quick backup was a test but I think he proved the mile isn't a problem as he was still putting in right up to the line.
He managed to snap a shoe somewhere throught the race so not everything went his way.

Just a great buzz to have our first group two runner, especially on the biggest race day in Qld.
He has proven to us he has the ability to mix it with this grade.

I believe he's off to the paddock now for some RnR and hopefully with a break he'll come back bigger and better.

Barry and his staff have done a great job with him.

A big thanks to everyone for all the support we have received whenever he runs .

Was a very good effort, mono. Thumb Up

His prep wasn't ideal.

This item was found amongst today's Stewards report pertaining to the Qld Guineas.

From Eagle Farm, 11.6.11 - Race 8.

C. Munce, rider of BENNY'S BUTTONS, was reprimanded for permitting his mount to shift out leaving the 400m in order to obtain clear running, and in doing so making heavy contact with HAVATRYST (S. Scriven).  rant

I was cheering him on in the grandstand too Mono and when i saw the replay back inside I thought geez Muncey has given him a thump at the top of the straight.

Then i saw the laughable note in the stewards report: "An inquiry will be undertaken to determine why Havatryst suffered interference at the 400m mark".

Really? I'm sure a visually impaired person could have told them that Bennys Buttons gave Havatryst a thumping...

As for his performance, he was finishing off the best out of the top 6, bar Steel Lips and Torio's Quest, so he definitely got going again.

Congrats mono and can't wait to see him back in a few months!  Thumb Up

Where's he gone?

And to think Munce rode him at his first two starts and wins.

I agree with Torios

I've watched him closely and his runs this prep have been poor. Scone was ok but gave no indication that he would win as easily as he did
