His form since coming to Australia has been on a constant upward spiral.

Whoever had him in New Zealand thought enough of him to run him in races out of his depth at least twice, or was he used as a pacemaker in those races ?

Manikato, Tullamore's only win in NZ was a $6000 maiden at Waipukarau, a country track.

His only metropolitan win in Australia prior to the Brisbane Cup was a midweek win on the Kensington track.

The Hawksbury & Scone wins were metropolitan Saturday wins - at least according to prize money and status of day.

They aren't metro tracks though though are they? So by nature would have drawn provincial quality fields.

They were the Saturday "Sydney metro" meetings and were part of the metropolitan statistics.

At Hawkesbury and Scone.  lol
How many of the horse in those races had won races on a Saturday on a metro track?
That dictates what is Saturday Quality.

Mate, I think you'll find that Jerezana & Prince Braeman have won listed races
Tromso is a multiple city winner and listed placgetter
Tindal an open class winner in Melbourne
Rightson has won about a dozen races, I'm sure many of them have been saturday class

The Scone race was strong but I agree it was a massive form reversal from Torios

Oh Dear  shy Jackal obviously does not follow the NSW provincial form at all. Makes you wonder what qualifies him as an expert on NSW and Qld racing  nowink

Just Crewsin' - 5th Scone, won a Sat. Rosehill race then placed Listed race last Saturday.
My Vegas - 7th Scone, won city Saturday meeting
Willy Jimmy - 2nd Scone Cup, won Race 3 at Eagle Farm on Saturday
Tullamore - won Scone, won Brisbane Cup
Irish Love - 3rd to Tullamore, won Randwick Sat. 4th June
Cindarockinrella - won Scone, placed $100,000 race at Doomben
Sincero - won Inglis Guineas, won Stradbroke Hcp
Tigress Lily - 3rd to Sincero, 5th to Scarlett Lady in Doomben Roses $175,000 race.
Hurtle Myrtle - 5th Dark Jewel Classic, won $200,000 race Eagle Farm.
Torio's Quest - 4th Scone, won $161,5000 race at Eagle Farm on Saturday.

and I could include a few others if I looked at the Hawkesbury results  wink

The form in NSW "provincial" class is very strong - I think much stronger than you see in other states. Not sure why that is so, but you will see all the big stables (Darley, Waller, Waterhouse, Cummings) represented there, and often with some very good bloodstock.
