Anyone bothering to read the very interesting link should see that this is racing related, so this topic should not be shifted.

Furthermore it's an attempt to group these curious individuals that keep popping up.

Why is there a seemingly endless stream of Leviathans (not all that different from one another) flooding the news?

Why are there far more morons running wagering companies prepared to sacrifice squillions to these 49 somethings?

Given this guy's day job, he merits far more investigation than I have time for right now.

But at first glance a 20% on losses kickback at a casino appears to be a licence to print money.

So what does our protagonist really do?

Here's part of the answer:

http://www.bloodhorse.com/horse-racing/articles/43354/jury-out-on-rebates-computer-bets

Surprise! Surprise!

He exploits kickbacks.

And part of his strategy is to frequent conventions were he can snow morons to shower him with more kickbacks which in effect are stolen from rank and file punters.

Anyone bothering to study that article should find little resemblance to the truth.

http://www.bjinsider.com/newsletter_138_johnson.shtml

Here our protagonist reveals some of his secrets.

He negotiated insanely favourably rules for himself with overpaid morons supposed to be running the casinos for profit.

Sound familiar?

In essence he could quit a session as soon as he was down a net 5 hands (of $100,000). And claim a 20% kickback.

Playing a game with a 0.253% House Edge.

Despite his denials card counting was clearly involved, since he was allowed to play $100,000 during rich decks and only $15,000 during poor decks.

I managed to just knock up a level stakes simulation where you quit upon reaching -5 or +5 and that what clearly a Player Edge game irrespective of how many games were played.

Why couldn't the morons have done the same, to show they were throwing away squillions?

Curious encore to the Tropicana saga.

It offers an insight to the Leviathan lifestyle.

If I tried to spend that much on my no frill wine casks it would take me 100 years. Yet Don managed it in an evening.
