We don't often see Eye Liner's colours at the races these days. But three horses carried them at Doomben yesterday.
And LITTLE STRANGER carries them in Saturday's Cup.

This field also looks a little down on the usual EyeLiner strength. Carrara would have to be a top chance in this.

Last year's winner is in there.
And one very smart performer in the red, white and blue rug.
I mean ya wouldn't rate the race as attractive if ya had a Group 1 sprinter.

I loved the run of Dalzar last start and on talking to connections they were very keen on gaining a start in the Straddie.
Along with a few others they were balloted out and he will take his spot in this.
Not sure if the 1350 around Ipswich will suit his style of racing but the Glasshouse up the coast should be near perfect.

Only 1 run there early in his career, unplaced.
I keep looking at his weight. I guess he's earned it.

Super training effort by Gerald Ryan. Perfect ride from D Browne, and congratulations to David FOWLER and his colleagues on winning their second Eye Liner.
Some wonderful runs by some locals behind the winner. Hammersley did everything right on Gundy Son, but once again Heathcote's luck was out. Given a draw, Tierqualo probably wins. Dalzar does what he does often, and Drenalin ran another honest race.

Yes great effort by Adnocon to win back to back Eyeliners. My cash was on Gundy Son & he ran well just not good enough on the day. Thought the quality was down a little this year, which would have been a good guide to back the horse that won last year. Especially when a mate suggested Gundy would come home too late & dd also was worried about his weight.

And of course No 5 Adnocon was the "Sole Winner" At COURSE with "CW" in that Race.
