I do not know anything about the sponsors of this race which is being held today at Doomben but I will say this this.  They have put their money into possibly the worst race ever held at a metropolitan meeting.

For whose benefit is this race being run? A 1350m maiden race for 4 year olds and up. For goodness sakes a metropolitan maiden sprinting race for horses who are 6 weeks away from being either 5 or 6 years old. Slow maturing sprinters in Australia  - I don't think so.

To make matters worse it's been made the first leg of the quadrella.

Your right it is a terrible race.

I was hoping upon looking at the race it might contain a few unexposed future stayers but no, it is a race for fullu exposed slow coaches.

It should be banished to the backblocks of racing.

It has reminded me to check our air conditioning system that has been idle for a few months.
