Seems to be a lack of SC trainers tackling the Caloundra Cup

Weights are gonna be of interest with Ironstein reportedly not to run. chin

A tough customer like Regal Gaze might be a show.  Traditionally, previous WRC form has no bearing on this race.

I'm giving TEARY EYED a good chance in this.  His Ipswich Cup run was good.  He should handle the trip no problem, and loves soft going.

Currently around $10 with a bullet.

The race is a lot different now with the track rating slow.....gives the C graders a chance.....most will need copious oxygen and possible CPR after slogging 2400.

Pleasing to see the return to form of the big stayer from Beaudesert.  We tabbed him here many moons ago after he won a lowly mid-weeker at Ipswich.

Personally, I was on TEARY EYED the drum.  He wasn't beaten far.  Disappointing ride from Taylor, IMO.  Have no idea why he made a bee-line for the rails from the outset.  Given the traffic he encountered at the 600, I'd say it's cost him the drum.  stop

Looking at the race again, it emphasises the run of GOLD IN DUBAI.  What a brave effort to battle on the way he did. Thumb Up

Teriffic effort by Gold In Dubai.........  first time I wasn't on him this prep.........  he has never been good in slow and distance looked a test but didn't throw in the towel.

Spechenka was the only winner I picked all day but the only one I didn't back........ tears
