Monte Rosa today had one of her progeny Snitzerland win the Inglis race at Mornington, owned by Black Caviar's part owner Neil Wherret and bought by Gerald Ryan after Wherret was the underbidder but was able to get him to sell to him,he is on a good roll with his horses.

My fave mare Nina Haraka now has progeny having progeny of their own and when I heard Quite The Lady had a 58kg Dash For Cash colt I was longing to see a photo of him, thanks to Caroline Searcy I saw him on her presentation of the upcoming yearling sales and boy he looks a nice colt, that nic worked with Nina so it should be ok with her daughter.I hope David Hayes gives him a good look over. :x:Attaching a photo I got from sales site so anyone looking for a winning prospect look at lot151. The boy was purchased by McDonald Racing for bargain price of $110k,good luck to them with him as his close relation was a stakes winner and placed so no reason why he can't be also.

My Shabella nominated for Cant races, she hit her head and was scratched at her first start then spelled,I don't know how the heavy track will suit being by Haradasun x Risky Banter who's progeny can run on slow tracks ok,having Rory's Jester blood in her we all know Rory was no good on wet tracks so heavy may stop MS,I think her hardest to beat will be Glynn Schofields mount. What a jinx I am Schofields mount beat her home he 2nd she 3rd.

Empress Milly made up for last start 2nd after missing the jump with a win today in Sydney,Milly is a half sister to San Juan who was a handy horse here but really shone when he went to Malaysia and Miss Mazzeo is also a sibling,I'm waiting for the sibling by Sebring to hit the track. The colt went through the Inglis sale and was bought by San Juan's Aust trainer Greg Eurell for I think 120k.

My Shabella did no good at Hawksbury as fave but in her defence just as she was making her run from the back another horse came out and went straight under her neck which made her spit the bit out.Her sibling Protector made up for it today with a sweet win at Morphetville at a nice price.

I watched the TVN coverage of Easter sales last night and was delighted to see the offering from Arrowfield of the full sibling to Grand Jardin,Pontiana and Revenge a beautiful colt I would say looks the best type so far,Grand Jardin made over a million so will see what this boy brings,he seems to have had passed onto him the looks of his dam Liberty Rose and with two progeny being stakes win and placed to this colt I hope he is even better.

Looks like the Hawkes team is starting Pontiana's winter carnival off tomorrow at Hawksbury, she has been nominated again at the Brissy carnival so I'll be watching to see how she runs tomorrow.

Not a bad run by Pontiana in the listed race last Sat 1350 just got her first up. Better news with Ideal Position winning it's third in a row yesterday and King Triton winning first up today over 1530 giving Matty Gatt his first winner back in the saddle,Pat Hyland's wife happy as she bought into him when some owners dropped out of him.
