Did anyone see this Peter Moody trained son of Barely A Moment win a maiden at Murtoa today? If so i would be interested in your thoughts. He won by ten lengths and never got out of second gear. A most impressive performance and he looks to have a future. He is being set for the Caulfield Guineas and whilst  the likes of Smart Missile, Helmut & co look to be dominant favorites for the race he might just spoil the party. Well here's hoping anyway as I had a little nibble at him at very nice odds when the market first came out.

yeah i saw it, had a crack at the first four but got screwed by a combination of a 40/1 shot running 2nd, and a 2/3/4 place anchor dipping out  tears It was shades of Manikato when he won a lowly maiden in similar fashion all those years ago, the jockey (Linda Meech) had a half nelson on him.

You always have to treat these form lines with caution Skychase but sounds like it was impressive.  You have convinced me to watch the replay    Thumb Up

Well its the moment of truth today for Moment Of Change.

Race 2 at Sandown. He is odds on and running against a couple of handy types.

I believe he is the best of Moody's three year olds and he will need to be if he is to go on and give the Caulfield Guineas a shake.

There are some smart 3yos in this race. You will certainly get a good idea of how good he is here.

And the form just keeps on building.

I wonder if they will regret not striking whilst the iron is hot ?

Authorized....I know I regret it.  tears

As you mentioned the form line is building.  I very rarely bet prepost (all in) but did with this horse.  I was able to secure 80/1 eachway and watched the odds continue to tumble in each week. I kept thinking all the way along that it was too good to be true and in the end it was.  I think some agencies had it at $5.50 before it was sent to the paddock.

To win the Caulfield Guineas would have been a huge ask but it was still a nice bet to run a place.

Them the breaks as they say.....
