As an always wanted to be budding musician, and actually got on rage tv a few times ha ha , can't help but to watch these shows,
I entered first australian idol, to many people never even got an audition,
Hey it is a bugger of a thing standing in that line for hours only to be told everyone to go home, the judges only see about 100 people a day and its a bit hard to beat the people camping with mohawks  biggrin

well this is a thread for the xfactor and singing shows in general

What a complete stuff up from Mel B last night I think her brain is cooked thinking of the millions she is making in Australia from X Factor and now Jennie Craig as well she said at the auditions she didn't like Johnie and didn't vote for him and has given him bad critique each week then last night said she wouldn't go to lockdown after Johnie had received two votes which meant she would save Audio Vixon who were the better act then the stupid bimbo eliminated them Shrug, the look on her face told the story that she stuffed up and poor Ronan was gob smacked, and they pay these people millions. Thumbs Down

All along Audio Vixen has been consistent but you can't deny Johnny's 'sing for your life' wasn't the better of the two.

The fat old bloke has a great voice but isn't really the "type" who wins these things.......is he?

No

The typical voter is an early teenage girl and fat old blokes don't rate.

Poor Ronan isn't having a good time this year he is now left with the weakest of his three teams so don't think he will see the final as a mentor,I don't think the acts are as good a last year imo and the best to me are Reece and the older guy but the prettiest is Johno but reminds me of James Blundell "looks good can't sing".

I disagree, last year you had one stand out and another ok, the rest were average.

This year you have Reece & Christina as stand outs, Andrew as very (very) good, Declan is unique, YMS were good if that is your 'thing' and Three wishes are very good if your into that.

Once Mitchell (will make a country singer) & Johnny go it's very hard

Sorry guys I can't agree on last years talent Pia and the girl who Ronan had runs rings around anything they have put through this year including Christina,I loved the crazy Altyan and play his album frequently and I'm a dead set country lover and am so thrilled that my local club finally listened to me after four years and puts on a country singer night of a Wednesday that is getting bigger crowds each week. love
Oops Pia may have been on American Idol,my memory is  .

I've just been flicking through some of the U.S X-factor performances that is currently on over there. Gotta say there is some serious talent in this series.

Even though I didn't really like the song Mitchell came alive for a change singing his love of country music, just a shame they don't cater for country music in Australia like they do in the US.Jonno sang his heart out in the sing off and boy he has some moves and deserved to win the sing off. Thumb Up l

A real surprise last week with the demise of Christina, this week Reece is in the firing line (or should be) I agree with Mel he looked like he hated singing that Celine song he started off very badly but did improve once the tempo rose up,I think Sue Bo will look out of her league amongst the young ones tonight. Undecided

I thought Ronan would lose his team last night as I thought the young ones voting would get him for his lash out at Reece even though it was right what he said it still came across as harsh.

Well, hasn't Andrew surprised most people to come 2nd.  Lets face it, to beat the Reece machine was almost impossible--but all credit to the top 3 and to all the final 12 contenders---they were all good at their talents.

I actually enjoyed watching this event--forced by she who must be obeyed    lol
