Might sound silly but I was asked how would you put a bet of say $5,000 or even $10,000 on a horse?

Places like IAS and Sports bet wouldn't take them would they. Just that you hear of people being knocked back on much smaller amounts.

Some people reckon they bet in huge amounts so any advice would be appreciated

Drip feed money into Betfair.

If it's a Saturday Metro and you start early enough then you should be able to eventually get the full amount on.

Or, as a last resort, you could try going On Course where preset obligations must be honoured.

As long as your bookie isn't Tom Waterhouse.

Thanks for the info.

Those that know me know it is not for my bets  lol  but a few blokes that I know are starting a decent PC and if any previous PCs of theirs is any indication they could have some pretty large bets.

I had morning tea with them today and they were just wanting to cover all bases.
