Geez, here's me thinking wouldn't be surprised if one of the Cups winners comes out of this race. Was going to be watching a few intently because some of them have been handicapped very well in the Cups.

Tullamore has a lot of potential. Beat Glass Harmonium in the Brisbane Cup - albeit with 4.5 kg advantage, but GH is franking the form. Was beaten 2.75 lengths by Sincero first up - not a bad sort of a run.

Stand To Gain won on a wet track in the Sydney Cup, didn't go around a horse, but looked very strong at the end of the 2 miles. Actually ran 3rd in the Manion (2400m), Bid Spotter 1st, Mourayan 4th. An improved run would not surprise.

Illustrious Blue was winning the Goodwood Cup around this time last year. Maybe Waller is taking a bit of time to find out what makes him tick.

Hawk Island rates very highly on his best, but as shaun points out, 1 from 13 on good tracks is not a good stat if it stays dry.

Maybe Trusting is one of those horses that likes a bit of space. The Brazilian jockey might be inclined to let him run 3 deep again.

Bid Spotter won a couple of staying Cups races last campaign, and is most consistent when he hits form.

Outside of Trusting, which horses have won a G2 in Aust out of interest?

Stand To Gain has won a major handicap, Some people would argue it was a group 1 race.

Tullamore has won a major handicap, some people would argue it was a group 2 race.

Bid Spotter has won a major handicap, Some people would argue it was a group 3 race.

Dealer Principal is an unquestionable GROUP 1 winner.

Murjulisa Lass is an unquestionable GROUP 1 winner.

If this field lined up in G3 Naturalism Stakes, outside of Tullamore, not one horse could win race with even luck. Fact.

Trusting....................................59
Hawk Island.............................57.5
Illustrious Blue.........................56.5
Stand To Gain...........................55
Tullamore..................................54.5
Mirjulisa Lass............................???

Decenmber Draw, At First Sight, Once Were Wild, Harris Tweed Anudjawun and Herculian Prince would all add depth to this field but other wise the rest of the Naturalism field is very limited.

There isn't one horse in this race capable of winning at Group level in Melbourne

Depth?? The ones you've named are 5L ahead of anything in this field. Correct Jackal.

Those commenting wearing the Navy jumpers with the Blue V  lol

5 lengths?

The two favourites for the Naturalism are a jumper, and a horse who hasn't won a black type race in Australia.

Once Were Wild has been thrashed by Stand To Gain (twice) and Bid Spotter.

Above Average was actually beaten by Bid Spotter (Stand To Gain 3rd) in the Manion.

Anudjawun?? Don't know where he gets a reputation from  what

At First Sight has won one race. Eligible to be running in the Class 1 at Echuca  lol

Harris Tweed has won one race in about 18 months and far past is best.

Herculian Prince, as a Metrop winner, is probably the best performed horse in the race and aren't they climbing over each other to back him.

So where is this depth friends  nowink
