Anyone tuned into this show on Ch 117 Bio? It's on tonight at 8:30pm.
I've been watching it the last few weeks & it makes you think what lies beyond.

Basically each week has people telling their stories about when they died(heart attacks, car crashes, operations, shot, drowning etc) & what they believe happened to them after they died.
All were finally revived/resusitated & some were clinically dead for quite some time.
Amazing how they have different stories but they all have a very similar thread to them.

Watch tonights episode & I'll relate how this weeks episode has been similar to other episodes.

The annoying thing about the show is how they jump between the stories & keep doing re-caps.   bleh

The similar threads most of these stories have had are
1 they realise they are dead
2 they float up above their bodies & look down upon them
3 they don't really care about their bodies once they leave them
4 they travel into a light
5 they often meet their relatives
6 they always feel at complete peace
7 they are often shown a life review
8 they sometimes don't want to come back

Makes you wonder.  Shrug

EZ I read a books ages ago detailing similar events .

Read it with a sceptical mind but by the time I had finished book I was a little more believing ,although not totally.

It would be nice to think you could run into family members and friends that have departed the world as we know it but I wonder about the people we didn't like...Where do they get too.

The local resident scientist will no doubt read this and say it;s all in their minds but who really knows.

As an aside I've hovered around the bookies ring and would have liked the opportunity to cancel my bet but it's never happened.
All interesting stuff and I'll let you know after I've seen it for myself.

I remember Kerry Packer's attitude a few years ago when he had a massive heart attack and "died" for a few minutes.

When he recovered he said that for all those who believed in an afterlife his message was  there is nothing.

I always wondered where KP would actually go up or down.

Laughed when he said that as I feel the same.

I have died 3 times but have never had this experience.

My daughter (7) and I light a candle most nights or mornings before school and thank our son for another great day. She has a few bad days still but has been my rock, I need a drench to keep up with her.

The amount of dreams of people that have come into my small brain in the last 16 months has been staggerring.

I had to ring my mother and ask about a few who I felt had spoken to me, as I didnt know they had passed.

Doesn't make it any easier though.

Hope all our teams and our nags win , especially all Super League teams. Broncos and Warriors.

Well, all these things make for good TV.  But we should not take them seriously.

Sick people suffer regularly from hallucinations.  The basis of these shows will be recall of such experiences.

Personally, I was almost killed in a car smash in 1965 - some wish I had been  Sad - and I still have clear pictures of totally weird scenes that filled my mind while lapsing in and out of consciousness.

Anyone ever cared for someone with a high fever?  What these people can "see" flying around the room, crawling up the walls etc, will truly amaze you.

All,

Most of these 'experiences' can be reproduced at will by applying the right chemicals to the brain. Work on this done a few years back showed this. Its merely the brain in trauma ( whether it be due to oxygen deprivation, physical or chemical trauma ) reacting and how this is turn is interpreted by the person.

More illusions shattered.

It may be the brain going into survival mode.  Undecided
Still strange that these people's brains all follow the same thought trends of such similar processes whereas other people don't experience anything.  chin

That may come down to how brains are programmed. Maybe the people who say they have these experiences have a subconcious belief beforehand whereas people who see nothing also have that as their subconcious belief.

Typical, still gotta wonder if it's just the brain trying to survive.
