Black Caviar's a big chance here.

Looks suited by the WFA conditions here seeing she'd be giving the second top weight 17kg in a handicap.  rolleyes

I think the 955M at MV on the Friday night will probably be a stronger field.

The BLACK CAVIAR connections have obviously got scared and gone the softer option...

What is the fastest time in that series ?

This Friday nights race is a 76 rated race and given a good track they will get close to the time.

Now if these horses can run between 55 and 56 seconds with 55kgs and they are rated about 15 lengths inferior to Black Caviar, what time could she run with similar weights ?

I don't know whether I will even watch this race, I reckon there'll be lucky to be 4 other acceptors. What a crock.

And Sydney racing is a joke, I seem to remember a few more (quality) horses lining up against her when she was up North beer beer haha

If you voluntarily don't watch the race then you cant call yourself a racing fan imo.

Care to explain...... As much as I love Black Caviar, watching her go around against a pack of not 2nd or 3rd stringers but some plodder's I have no interest in. I'll watch every other race most probably on the day, but this race is a bit of a joke IMO

Karuta Queen is an excitement machine in her own right and 1000m is perfect for her.

I do not have a lot of respect for those "ratings" In my opinion they even underrate Black Caviar.

Karuta Queen is a genuine group class sprinter and at 1000m is well and truly up to group 1 level IMNSHO. She should have a rating up around the 108+ mark which would still put her about 25+ ratings points behind Black Caviar.

what is the point from a racing point of view of paying for a track Gallop?? it cannot by any stretch of the imagination be called a "Race" I tend to agree with Rock re the interest in the race but in saying that I will be watching it as she is a Champ and it ain't her fault they put on Clayton's races for her, is it??

Historical events aren't something that are planned.

This is "contrived" history. I can just hear Bruce Mc now and his endless superlatives "we might be witnessing history here".

Good luck to the owners. They will get a squillion for the offspring  Thumb Up

In the meantime, I still ask the question. Why wasn't she up against Sepoy in the Group 1 last Friday night? That was the logical event for her to race in. I hope the MRC are looking after Neville Layt OK. Without Karuta Queen running this race would descend into farce.
