Sorry about that comrades....I put it up as I believed it to be true. shocked

The "hoax" I assume is the claim that you will be charged for calls received..........the link to the do not call register is genuine.

I'm not sure about the claim that mobile numbers are to be made public...but once you register your number you won't be bothered by canvassers.

Not exactly sure how you call it a scam, as nobody is profiting from it, and it reminded me to add my numbers to the list, so not all was lost

The e-mail (read ~~scam~~ hoax) has been around since 2009

I'm yet to receive any such call to my mobile, I'd say that tells you how true it is wink

6 months ago I changed the home phone from Optus to Telstra, had never had a call but the moment we switched we were bombarded from the Indian call centres , after about 3 weeks I registered on the do not call thingy and they stopped within a day. Thumb Up
