They have all come out of the wood work.

Where were they all last weekend when the real challenge was against the champ ?

he really does seem to be a modern day straight track champ

I think very early in my racing career there were a few straight track specialists in Grandiose and Redelva running around

they are few and far between these days

Oink !

Its taken him a while but I believe Neeson is in the top 5 sprinters in the country.

Curtana for me.  Excellent value early and still $13.  Each way good enough for me.

Race 8 – SEPPELT SALINGER STAKES (Group 2) - 1200 metres:

Prior to the race trainer Mr P Moody advised that it was the intention to ride Curtana back with the intention to shift out behind the field as the view was that was the superior going.  Curtana raced down the straight without cover.

Black Piranha jumped away awkwardly.

From the 400m Mid Summer Music was held up for clear running until nearing the 100m.

For a major part of the straight Metallurgical failed to obtain clear running and subsequently went to the line not being fully tested.

Stirling Grove lost its near fore plate during the running of the race.

H Bowman could offer no explanation for the disappointing performance of Neeson.  A post race veterinary examination of Neeson revealed no abnormalities.

Its gonna take a while but I reckon METALLURGICAL might well earn his price tag back on the racecourse.
