Might go Lamasery here.  Barrier means it might have to settle worse than midfield which I don't mind.
AFS looks very good but with the top weight and the slight setback I'm looking for some value.   Tanby obviously flying but backing up again after having its heart broken a few times.

I'd be a bit surprised if Tanby lines up here. A win here might not get the penalty needed to get into the Cup.  He's also in the Hotham on Saturday. If the Cup was my aim I'd go there.

Really strange that Tanby is in this race. Doubt even if he won impressively, he would get enough of a penalty.

Also strange that At First Sight has been backed as if unbeatable and Tanby is drifting. At First Sight doesn't need to win and Tanby does.

This all has me very confused.

Yeah, I was surprised as well. I hope he gets enough to make the field.

Good to see At First Sight perform as well. Surprisingly got out a long way out of his ground for a horse that led the English Derby and left himself little chance of catching the winner. 

I'm just so glad I stuck with my gut and didn't follow the betting, which is what I would normally have done.

Good win by Tanby and nice Barrier Trial for AFS

AFS has to be in the mix for the Cup after that. Got a mile back, charged home and you'd expect will be improved by the run given the gap between starts and minor setback. Tanby won well, but doubt that gets him in the Cup.

No, you were right the first time. 

He would be having his 4th run in 24 days if he were to make the field, and that's not usually Lloyd's go.  I'm pretty sure he was just hoping to either win todays race or the Zipping Classic in a couple of weeks with the horse.
