We have last Challenge players continuing, PP gets a freebie, and a few new players.

Share value is $50.  Total shares is 44, giving us a STARTING BANK of $2200 to play with.  I feel like a kid in a candy shop. rolleyes

(Shareholders should not be concerned for the safety of their "investment" should I drop off my perch.  Your monies are secured.)

Staking plan will be similar to previous Challenges.   There will be a series of 10 bets with a base unit of $5 each/per share.  Base stake per day is $220.

Bets will be PLACE ONLY and will usually be on a Wednesday or Saturday on Brisbane races. I pick the horses, and reserve to right to back more than one horse.

1. For the first 5 bets (#1 to #5), any return from the bet is distributed evenly among the remaining bets, thus increasing the base stake beyond $5.  Say bet #2 gives a return of $16, we add $2 to the stake for each of the remaining 8 bets.

2. For bets #6 to #9, should they be successful we RETAIN THE STAKE, but distribute the PROFITS evenly among the remaining bet/s.

3. Obviously for bet #10 we keep any return.

Start day is tomorrow.

Hopefully we'll end up with a share value of more than $50.  But there's a risk that I will lose a bit, or lose the LOT.

I'll post the bets on this thread, and keep a running sheet.

Bet #6   $433 - 03.12.11 RETURN $502 BANK = $1795 [SAFE = $433]   [SHARE VALUE = $50.60]
Bet #7   $451 - 10.12.11 RETURN $451 BANK = $1344 [SAFE = $884]   [SHARE VALUE = $50.60]
Bet #8   $448 - 14.12.11 RETURN $340 BANK = $896 [SAFE = $1224] [SHARE VALUE = $48.20]
Bet #9   $448 - 17.12.11 RETURN $783 BANK = $783 [SAFE = $1672] [SHARE VALUE = $55.80]
Bet #10 $783 - 24.12.11 RETURN $982 BANK = $0     [SAFE = $2654] [SHARE VALUE = $60.30]

We outlayed a total of $3928 for a return of $4382 which is a profit-on-turnover of 11.5%.

Share value increased by 20% over 6 weeks, which is equivalent to an annualised profit of 430% unsure

As for being "new" to place betting, I'll wager my first place bet, with Arthur Sing, was placed before you were born.

I never worry about whether I'm "old" or "new", invited or otherwise, I'll still give everyone the doubtful benefits of my opinion on any matter.
