How many of you have an interest in UK racing? If you do what are your favourite UK races?

Big Bucks won his 15th straight jumps race last night at Cheltenham.

We seem to be blessed with some outstanding racehorses at the moment.

Also Pentific ran 3rd in a very good novice steeplechase after leading most of the way.

I like to see our horses run in Novices first up when they go over there, rather than trying to take on the open horses first up.

Seems there might be a problem with Frankel.

Not good, as in finished or out for recovery?

No truth whatsoever in what @clarebalding1 has announced on BBC about Frankel. Lord Grimthorpe tells me situation is the same as yesterday.

I didn't see it, but The Grand National sounded a bit of carnage. Only 15 of 40 horses finished the race, two horses killed, including the favorite and the current Gold Cup winner Synchronised.

Still a great race, but I cannot see them getting away with in the current format much longer. There is a talk of modifications to the most dangerous fence - Becher's Brook.

I think a lot of horse where pulled out of the race as soon as they where basically no chance. 15 of 40 looks bad, probably looks worse than it was.

I can not imagine being an owner and sending a horse around in that race. You simply know that a horse will perish, will it be yours ?

I had a look. Out of the 25 horses which didn't finish, 4 were pulled up, 10 fell, 7 unseated the rider, 1 refused and 3 were brought down.

OK, Yep it was carnage.

It really is a shocker of a race.

Should it be called a race ?

You wonder why an owner puts himself through such a race ?
