Almost every week I get reminded what a good bunch of folk wehave here on this forum. So I figured i should acknowledge the good people we attract here.

Over the years I have been invited to the races, members area Bne, directors lounge Gold Coast, Number One club Rosehill. Been provided accomodation at a gold coast hotel, shouted dinner at Bretts Wharf restaurant and invited to comittee rooms for lunch / drinks. I have attended a number of Stradbroke Bashes met some ripper people. Have participated in punters clubs, calcuttas, and place challenges providing many hours of enjoyment over a long period of time. Had a return airfare covered for me when stranded interstate by Qantas, been shouted lunch at Circular Quay and more importantly made some fantastic friends.

Currently i am laid up following knee surgery- couchbound for a few days. I have received a number of text messages, phone calls, PM and public messages all of which have been appreciated. So a big thank you all, appreciate your thoughts.

Thank god for the forum keeping me sane! And providing some interest whilst i am off my feet.

Bugger it, if it takes knee surgery to get some love on here, I'm off to Greenslopes too.
Not exactly around the corner from Perth, but what the hell.
And there is nothing wrong with my knee.  And I still don't care.

See you on the slopes (Green) soon Spudda.  And I hope the knee is better than new when it's all said and done.    Thumb Up

Good luck Spudda....if your stay in Greenslopes is better than mine ......you're bloody lucky.

I was in a two bed room with a guy who snored all night keeping me awake and talked on the phone all day.

It was so bad the nurses wheeled my bed into a broom cupboard off the hall way the second night so I could get a few hours rest.

All my complaints fell on deaf ears......not once did the nursing manager come to see me.

After discharged I complained to the GM and was invited to a meeting with him and  associates....all very friendly and apologetic....resulting in changed procedures where disruptive patients are involved......they'll be shifted. thumbsup

On this occasion they said they had nowhere to shift this guy as all beds were full and one floor was out under renovations.

Comparing my experience with my mate's in the public QE11.......his is a mile in front.

Nice guys, yes was an interesting experience.

Arsenal they tried to admit me as my mate was running late to pick me up but I managed to talk them out of it. But overall was treated very well. Did panic a bit waking up being surrounded by 5 nurses ( but they were all female so I think I thought i may have been dreaming  wink  )
