Almost every week I get reminded what a good bunch of folk wehave here on this forum. So I figured i should acknowledge the good people we attract here.

Over the years I have been invited to the races, members area Bne, directors lounge Gold Coast, Number One club Rosehill. Been provided accomodation at a gold coast hotel, shouted dinner at Bretts Wharf restaurant and invited to comittee rooms for lunch / drinks. I have attended a number of Stradbroke Bashes met some ripper people. Have participated in punters clubs, calcuttas, and place challenges providing many hours of enjoyment over a long period of time. Had a return airfare covered for me when stranded interstate by Qantas, been shouted lunch at Circular Quay and more importantly made some fantastic friends.

Currently i am laid up following knee surgery- couchbound for a few days. I have received a number of text messages, phone calls, PM and public messages all of which have been appreciated. So a big thank you all, appreciate your thoughts.

Thank god for the forum keeping me sane! And providing some interest whilst i am off my feet.

Onya Spudda, hope you're up and about soon.

I'm also up for a reconstruction, can you recommend a good specialist?

Dr Phillip Dalton 3394 2055 based at Greenslopes. Took me through the steps of the operation, set me at ease. Worth a try.

Yeh thats all good Spudda, but you know it all come out of my weekly allowance from "the boss". You did not mention that I allowed you till Straddie 2012 to pay me back. The sooner you do, I can get my allowance increased.....

Ratsack,

I think we have weeded the silly ones.  Just to note--my comment was tongue in cheek--and I'm sure Spudda knows that.

But I do want to also mention the 2 beers I brought him 2 years ago......

Yes--we do have a lot of good people on this forum.

Ratsack, rest assured you don't always have to say a lot to enjoy the place.

Chuggers or Platts as I annointed you earlier elsewhere, still smirking after reading your comment earlier, well aware it was tongue in cheek,

Thanks Spudda, I semi destroyed my right knee over 20 years ago when I was playing semi serious sport - and I'm now getting to that age where I need to get it done while I'm young enough to recover.

Greenslopes is just down the road as well.   Thumb Up

Tarragindi mate.

The west side of Tarragindi close to the hospital. 20 minute walk to the door for me, it's where I go to get my boy stuff checked.  embarrassed
