Should they sell every track that has torrential rain?? how can you blame the track? I know they have had problems there but nothing that cannot be fixed, we can't afford to lose too many more tracks, the stand roof collapsed, that has to be poor construction, how can that happen?? it is still a stupid reason to sell the track!! talk about over reaction, get a life!!

Reading the stewards report it indicated that there was a section betweeen the 400m and 200m that was deemed unsafe for racing. On a newly renovated track  what what

There's enough provincial tracks already i don't see the point in having Werribee....its popularity with racing participants is like a visit to the taxman.

I would have thought that if Werribee has a long term future, it as another Sandown.  I don't think Sandown copes with the racing it has very well, Wednesday meetings going Lakeside, Hillside, Werribee then around again seems to make sense, but obviously if Werribee stands up to racing, which it doesn't seem to.

Slightly off topic, but weren't the VRC looking at merging with Werribee a few years back.

chin werribee is a low grade turnover track ...to mention it in the same sentence as Sandown is out of synch...........the facilities were let go when the track was closed{if u don't do maintenence on ur house it will fall apart}..Victoria has too many racetracks and this place should never have been reopened.
