pretty sure it happened at Kalgoorlie in the last 12 months, from memory there were 8 races, one girl...possibly Rachel Forrest, rode 4 winners, and two others rode doubles ? or maybe there were 7 races and it was 3, 2 and 2. I reckon it was about a year ago if anyone can be bothered scanning back, i think it was a Sunday.

yep i was right, Sunday July 3rd, 7 races were all won by either M. Bazely, Keira Yuill or Rachel Forrest, and both sides of that date for a few weeks, the same jocks plus Russell Hanson and a couple of others rode almost all the winners at Kalgoorlie every Sunday

Seems to be a regular occurence, and in New Zealand, most race days at least half the card's winners are ridden by females, the likes of Lisa Allpress, Lisa Whelan, Sam Spratt, Danielle Johnson, Kylie Williams, Toni Direen, Kelly Myers, Rosie Myers, and the new kid on the NZ block Jessica Shackleton, and Maiya Vance. And they generally lob at good or big odds, as the general public still tend to shy away from female riders, dunno why, as horses seem to run for them, plus the added bonus of them trying that little bit harder to win wink

this too.....

Girls in control at Echuca
Brad Waters
Monday, 11 July 2011

The ladies left the boys in their dust in the first half of Monday's Echuca meeting after female riders steered home five of the first six winners.

Group I-winning jockey Michelle Payne led the charge for the girls with a treble.

Payne won the Moama Bowling Club Maiden Plate (1600m) aboard Skimalong ($1.80 fav) as well as the Echuca CIH Sales & Service Maiden Plate on Lord Of Brazil ($3.70 fav).

Payne completed her treble with a comfortable win aboard Champagne Esprit ($9) in the Moama RSL 3YO 0-68 Handicap (1200m). Ballarat trainer Darren Weir provided Payne's trio of winners.

Casey Bruce relegated Payne to second when she piloted Winchester Arms to victory in the Betfair Maiden Plate (1200m).

Jarrod Todd was the first man to win a race at the Echuca meeting when the Ross McDonald-trained French Friday ($3 fav) got the better of Bruce's mount Firlands ($51) in the closing stages of the Melbourne Cup Day @ Echuca Maiden Plate (1400m).

Stacey Rawiller headed an all-female trifecta when she won the ERC Memberships Available 0-72 Handicap (1400m) aboard Offshore Echo.

Kelly Myers filled second place aboard Innocent Cash while Katelyn Mallyon piloted Grand Ransom into third.

Sally Rawiller?  Another one, they are becoming like the Paynes.

I think a few years ago girls won all 10 races at Warracknabeal, I think a few of the Payne's got on the scoreboard, but before Michelle's time.
