Are you the Red Eye or the Brown Dog registered as an owner of the Hoss?  Undecided

Ascot - I am just under my name. I do look forward to meeting the people behind red eye and brown dog though (i couldn't get to wyong) as they sound like they may enjoy a celebratory drink whether we win or come last!

In the gear department, Kelso Wood has decided not to add shades to SIZZLING.

On the other hand Kelly Schweida will return blinkers to last-start failure DISCREETchin

Gai has reportedly listened to Nash Rawiller in deciding to run unbeaten Redoute's filly NO LOOKING BACK.  She'll be first up.  chin

GOLD COAST BULLETIN ARTICLE

"MUNCE SAYS RIVALS WASTING THEIR MONEY:

Bookmakers rate Saturday's Magic Millions 2yo Classic the most open in recent years but leading Brisbane jockey Chris Munce yesterday warned his rivals would have to bring their A-game to beat his mount Sizzling as he chases a record fourth win in the $2 million feature.

Munce said most of the contenders making a late dash across the border are just making up the numbers, as he bids to become the most successful jockey in the history of the Magic Millions 2yo Classic.

"They have got to come up here and bring their A-game or they will just be going around with the field," Munce said yesterday.

"My bloke (Sizzling) has been up here performing well and he only needs to have a one-hour float trip down the road.

"I would say there are three genuine chances in the race in Sizzling, Driefontein and Amorino and the others will need a lot of luck."

Munce holds the record for the most wins in the Classic with Queensland legend Mick Dittman after his three wins on Sunblazer (1989), Excellerator (2001) and Dance Hero (2004).

He said a fourth victory in the race would be a special moment.

"It's a big thrill to win any big race but I suppose holding the most amount of winners outright in a race like this would be pretty special," Munce said.

"It has been a race that has been very kind to me over the years and I first won it when I was only 18."

Munce has twice combined with Gai Waterhouse to win the race but will be out to plot the Sydney trainer's downfall this weekend.

"Gai holds a very good chance in the race in Driefontein but we will be there doing our best to beat her," Munce added.

"I think Sizzling has got the characteristics to win the race.

"He is the ultimate professional, he does everything right and he has plenty of ability.

"But there doesn't seem to be a lot between the top three, so barriers will play a big part.

"If Sizzling can draw somewhere in the middle that would be perfect."

Don't forget barrier draw this morning being telecast on Channel 9 TODAY show starting at 6.30am Qld time with horses running on Surfers Paradise beach followed by the draw..

And then there's this view!

"IT'S CUT & DRIED...............

Waterhouse rates filly a Classic certainty.

Ever the optimist, racing's first lady Gai Waterhouse has declared Driefontein's rivals will simply be running for second in Saturday's Magic Millions 2yr Classic at the Gold Coast - and she is pretty confident she can win that race too.  Waterhouse yesterday boldly predicted her speedy filly Driefontein had the $2 mill Classic at her mercy. rating the $4 second favourite on par with her three previous winners Assertive Lad (2000) Excellerator (2001) and Dance Hero (2004).  "I think she is a good thing" was Waterhouse's confident assessment of Driefontein's chances.

And not content with just collecting the $1.14 million winner's cheque, the leading Sydney trainer went so far as suggesting she could also pick up the $300,000 on offer for second with stablemate No Looking Back.  "It's not silly to think we can quinella the race as both fillies are going very well" Waterhouse said.

Brisbane gelding Sizzling who finished second behind Driefontein in their final lead-up race at Doomben on December 31, remains the $3.50 favourite with Tattsbet for the 2yo Classic ahead of this morning's barrier draw."

Long-term, that might not be a winning strategy. nowink

But on this occasion I hope you're right.

I'm working on the view that had S drawn a gate last outing he would likely have beaten D.
