Yeh--it has sort of run its course---its a 50/50 to a general opinion---lets move on....

Other than this---my visit to MM was a great day---and I have heard others say similar---us forumites should make this an annual "Goldie" bash---we would certainly look after all---DD--when was the last time you came to Goldie ???

I heard it was many many years.....

Forumites determine when a subject has run its course.

Those who are bored should look away.

MagiC, the "interference" you're seeing early in the straight would happen 50 times in every race.  Competent stewards would just wind over it.

See, this is where you are wrong DD, I know it may be a first, but that interference caused No Looking Back, to lay out, with out the first bit of interference, there would not have been the second bit of interference, and No Looking Back wins easily

You can not look at the two cases of interference separately, because they are both the same incident.

Nash did a terrible job defending himself, and I really feel for the owners tears

No, I'm not right necessarily, it's just my opinion.

The 'might get over it' comments is just  Thumb Down from mine.

No betting interest in race just calling it as I see it - like quite lot of others.

I'll keep this thread handy so we can bring it up early next year to allow some to reminisce.  lol

Would this be the first time a Magic Millions race has reached 14 pages in discussion ?

MagicC,

I am sorry, but you are clutching at straws.  Just looking at the head on that was put up, even if there was some contact, it was caused as much by NLB coming out slightly after Dreif had completed it's shift.  Anyway, for the purposes of the protest it is irrelevant.  Do you seriously think the stewards would have dismissed the protest because Dreif brushed NLB slightly causing NLB to cause the interference?  The steward would be laughed out of the country.

In fact, just watching those 2 replays again, it is more obvious that NLB had come to the end of his run when he started to hang, and without the interference Dreif was probably going to come back at him.  Enough to overturn the decision?  Probably not, but I can see how you could come to that conclusion.

I suspect most of the "shocking decision" brigade is from people who, for the best of reasons, don't like to see feature races decided in the stewards room.  While I tend to agree, I also prefer to see "clean" racing, and what we got on Saturday was not "clean" racing.
