I find it quite amazing how Punters try to make rules covering all horses like they are machines and they come off a production line like the Ford motor car ie, what do you call a spell?? Obviously trying to get a line on a horses fitness levels, another thing that Punters try to quantify is "weight" How much weight equals a length etc?? all these things are relevant but none are the same for all horses, where you can have definitive rules, no different to a Horses natural ability, if they came off a production line they would all be able to gallop as fast as Black Caviar but Guess what???? They can't
For mine if I think the horse has the ability to win if fit enough, then it all comes down to price, does the price allow me to take the risk, you will always get it wrong more times than you get it right, it is only the price that will allow you to win in the long run, when I say "Price" I am not necessarily saying a Long price, I am saying a "Value price" Good overs, the longer the spell the more massive the overs need to be etc, it is about Risk and profit
