DD
Any reason why this Listed race has $50,000 more prizemoney than the G3 on the same program.

Westie, those stake levels have been around for some years, to my memory.

The Bernborough is part of the three-leg Summer Series.  Each races is worth $200k.

The 2yo is running as a Group 3 for the first time this year.  I guess RQL see no reason to up the ante.  Same for the Vo Rogue Plate (already Group 3).

We could debate all night whether the allocations are reasonable, but in a time of scarce prizemoney, and with some of the 2YOs heading to MM, I reckon the prizes are OK.  stop

An interesting statistic for this race.

In the years 2001-06, is was won by just 3 horses.  All won the race in consecutive years.

Trainer Hilton got his wish for a nice alley for CMB.

The FILLY seems weighted to her best and has the black box.  chin

I have backed him a couple of times this prep in Sydney.

Let's just say if he wins this things aren't looking good for Brisbane racing.

Edit - I should also add I lefted last week's feature winner out of everything  lol

It's not about whether it looks good for Brisbane racing..it's who'll win the race.  If ya get $200k spread around, connections won't care about anything else.  lol

But I get ya drift.

He has won two of these before and can't see why he couldn't go close again.
