The justracing.com.au website has reproduced a "reply" from Tattsbet CEO Barrie Fletton in response to certain comments on the website.

I find this comment in relation to "Deductions" not only astounding, but totally out-of-step of what would be expected by Tattsbet's customers:

Deductions – This is an age old argument, but I don’t hear whinges from punters who receive a refund when their horse is scratched. Personally, I prefer betting to be all in, but that is unlikely given the VRCs attempts to appease those punters whose horse is scratched late.

One can only hope this attitude is never applied.

Truly gobsmacking material.

So you've had a grand on the favourite who's found to be lame at the start.  It's scratched.  Your ticket goes in the bin.

Unbelievable comment from a TAB CEO.

Anyone got any intelligence on the "VRC's attempt to appease punters whose horse is scratched"?  Surely VRC isn't trying to tell TABs that we deserve a refund????

The more I think about this, the closer I'm getting to needing medical attention.

I doubt Phil realises the seriousness of this comment.  Why would he not have reacted?

He'll get pages of stories out of this one. lol

Remarkable.
We cop rounding down and now this dope wants to have all in betting.
I would also argue that TAB Sportsbet are easily the first up with fixed odds markets and are no where near 150% as stated by Fletton.

What an idiot !!! Does this fella really understand what "all in" & standard punting is ??

I am surprised that this bloke is a CEO---mateee...that should be/will be the end of your term..Can I have your job...I think I would put in a better effort---in saying that P1 or P2 would have better sense....

P1 & P2---go for the job guys....

seems I would be in the minority as well - would much prefer ALL-IN betting myself

I dont think the comment will attract much interest - shareholders are more inclined to look at other aspects

PHIL's promotion of a National Pool is a much worse idea

He'd change his mind pretty quick after they get swamped with bets on multiple runners and then the untouched pre-post favourite is scratched Saturday morning.

It's a truly idiotic comment.

Very good comment Wenona. Would make it very easy for the big stables to manipulate. Bookies (and fixed odds tattsbet) would last 5 minutes.
