British comedian Ricky Gervais has been invited back to Hollywood to host the Golden Globe Awards on Monday.

Watched the Golden Globe Awards last night and apart from some of the too long and boring speeches it was good entertainment.

Ricky Gervais was on his best behaviour apart from dropping the F word when introducing Antonio Banderas & Salma Hayek who apparently speak a language he can't understand........overall he managed to get some laughs from the audience...I like him as an entertainer.

Worst performance of the night IMO was the tasteless and crude comment from B grade actor Seth Rogan describing his state of sexual arousal.

Best acceptance speech IMO was from evergreen Morgan Freeman a wonderful actor who has been around so long I've forgotten many of his roles snippets of which were shown during his time on stage in accepting the Cecil B De Mill  Lifetime Achievement Award.

No surprise that Downton Abbey got an award or that Kate Winslet for Mildred Pierce won a GG or Meryl Steep for The Iron Lady won best actress but a couple of winners not yet shown in OZ must be good as they were judged better than some decent series I have seen this year....like Boardwalk Empire and Breaking Bad.

Will keep an eye out for BOSS with Kelsey Grammer and HOMELAND  which won Claire Danes her gong.

Lots of stylish gowns and ladies young and not so.....in the latter category Jane Fonda looked very fit and healthy Helen Mirren another still with the glow factor and Elle sashayed in like a bride looked terrific IMO.

George Clooney is always popular and Bryan Cranston with a full head of hair looked years younger than he appears as Walter Whyte  role in Breaking Bad.
