TVN -- very little cash for very useless comment

I can only surmise that no regular contributors to the forum are at-home subscribers to TVN.

I cannot be the only one driven to distraction by too many TVN ads that are either misplaced or plain offensive.

The offensive ads are possibly fewer since the dynamic syndicator was run to ground but, repeated ad nauseum, the images of someone poking a bikini girl and the 'box' of a batsman are really starting to take a toll on anyone with a semblance of sensitive sensibility. Tell me that these ads do not work, they can't.

The misplaced ads feature a female voice that is alternatively 'shrill' and unstoppedly 'pedantic' in demanding attention  -- the only time that most men encounter such 'noise' is late on an inexplicable Friday night when they are regretting that they ever came home rather than checking into a psychiatric ward at a local hospital. Tell me that these ads do not work, they can't either.

How could TVN, and its owners, possibly need the money, if any, that is paid to run this absolute nonesnse -- how come that the time wasted offending subscribers in this way could not be spent building turnover on the races on the day.

Running these ads in prime racing time is an unbelievably stupid turn-off.

Must admit I tend to agree with Pete on this one,  chin I always switched to Sky when some of there revolting adds come on TVN ( I always switch off when those Insurance company adds come on TV as well), some adds I can let run in the back ground but some I just can't stand even listening to, Dynamic was a perfect Example, I wouldn't like to be an advertiser who followed his adds as you had no chance of being seen or heard, ditto those Sportingbet (or are they Sportsbet??) I don't watch them long enough to know??

Surely trying to generate more turnover on racing would be a bigger help to the Industry, certainly better for their viewers lol

We have a complaint about the advertising on commercial television.

Please place your complaint with the other 6,584,884 drones who have nothing better to do with their lives.

Since TVN started, there have been lots of rumors about their finances.  The fact that they resort to these ads means that they probably do need the money.  Why do you think they don't need money?  For the amount of racing they actually broadcast, they would have quite significant overheads, plus all of the fillers they need when there is no racing.

Just to let you know I watch it, my pet hate is the obsessive plugs for Sportingbet, and the Sportingbet Market mover, plus the endless reports on the jockey challenge.  Who actually bets on the jockey challenge?

TVN is ordinary...thought Waterhouse series was good ..but if Bruce Clarke can be on the "wicket " he's reportedly on ....half his luck ...they would be losing a stack and no doubt propted up by RVL

Stylish you have to see them at least once to be annoyed enough to NOT watch them any more, the other point they are certainly not doing their job with me, I have owned many a thoroughbred and one person I would not buy a share from is a used car salesman that annoys the s*#t out of me, so how are they doing their job??
