Has to be massive question marks over Mr Feelgood after the way he handled the track on Friday night. He was woeful

I hope nothing happens to smokey or the quinn as the final field may resemble a W.A free for all

Dasher VC was huge on Fri night; ITMQ must've grown the same leg that Mr Feelgood lost. Smoken Up looked a tired horse last night, not that you'd expect anything else given his last 3 months of travelling- Reckon they should rest him now for the Inters, a Ballarat & Hunter Cup campaign would be likely to completely drain his tank.

How stiff are they with dasher VC running those sectionals and getting beat Shrug the track will be smoken ups problem and i wouldnt be taking 3.7 now its a bit short for mine on a 1/2 mile track like GP.

Yeah he was very unlucky- saw off Mr Feelgood & Washakie's & Raglan's combined attacks only to be just bloused right at the end- The Dasher is a good horse.

Yes they dont go much faster than 55.7 at Globe, but balance that against an overall Mile Rate of 2:02, with a horse on his back that struggles to win M2's in Melbourne, getting within 3m. Hope I'm wrong- he may come out at Ballarat & win by 15m. But he'd be freshened up if he were mine- no point flattening him off 30m in the Hunter Cup when theres a series he can win worth 2.5 times more a couple weeks later.

Does anyone know if going to be a lockup for horses engaged in interdom final like there was in Geelong a couple of years ago.

That Fremantle Cup win was phenomenal-havent seen pure acceleration like that in a GC race since Cullen's 98 MM. Going to be a great bout with Smoken Up when he arrives; I lean towards ITMQ on his home track. Raglan also very good too. Where the hell is the Mr Feelgood from the Cranbourne & Vic Cups?

It's been pretty darn warm and humid for the last couple of weeks Ed.
Don't know if it's affecting him but it's bloody-well affecting me.

Yeah fair enough- Raglan seems to have handled it a little better I guess- just that natural improvement you'd expect after a long trip between 1st & 2nd runs wasnt there. Anyone know if Smiling Shard is coming for the Inters or just the Hunter Cup or both or neither?

Spent a lot of time in Qld so dont think the humidity would worry it too much.Maybe had enough for now

How was Mr Feelgood going to get any closer to Quinny than he did last night?

Was held up at a vital stage when Quinny was out and running and the Stewards Codes say he sustained a flat tyre, so he was no hope of making any ground at such speed.

If you watch the replay closely you can see on the home turn his near side tyre is off the rim:

http://www.harness.org.au/video/wa/GPM20011207.wmv

Last night was circumstance,  Has The Answers not handing up at the start stuffed the race for the entire running line behind him and Dasher VC giving ground from the death meant the two wide line was caught up in traffic.  The first 4 came from the three wide line at the bell.

9 horse fields in the Inter heats should help Feelgood's cause, a bad draw where he can drift back might help too.

In saying all that he would still have to improve three lengths to run a place in the Final given the solid tempo they run up front and the big finish Quinny and Raglan have when they sit back, do nothing in the run and sprint for 600m.
