I had an issue with IAS last week where I attempted to have $150 on a $14 chance at Ballina on my internet account. The bet came back as a reduced stake of $80 being offered, I clicked on the accept button but nothing happened it just sat there spinning away. I waited hoping it would accept the bet, eventually i had to close the window and go out of the account to get rid of it, (race now over), when I go back into my account the original $150 bet has been accepted. It lost of course. I rang IAS to complain and they state the IT team say the original bet was accepted.

Has anyone had a similar experience with IAS or any other corporate?

Any suggestions on what can be done?

I would be grateful for you thoughts.

Vo what you fail to grasp is that they are a business trying to maximise profits. I can assure you all book managers at all joints including me are on bonuses on performance so why wouldnt they/we  take all measures we can to win as much as possible.

How about, do some work, get your markets right and play the game. Don't talk up how big you are and how many huge bets you take and then cut people off for winning a few grand.

That was my point Antitab, they are a business not a charity, every dollar counts on their bottom line, don't get too greedy with any one Bookie and you will fly under their radar

Like Snoggard if he had had the bet $300 with 5 bookmakers probably none would have flagged him, even if he did talk to a commission agent, might not work(you might get flagged by 5) but that is what I do now( except for Betfair) if I want a $100 on something I have $20 on with 5 Bookies, works for me!! in saying that Betfair takes 80% of my bets, only started with the others because of their bonuses but have kept them going as a safety net and do bet with all of them  3 or 4 days a week, especially for the odd exotic(quinella)

Do you reckon they don't talk Jim. Half the joints are owned partly by others, the staff seem to move between businesses. If you have been around a while I am sure they know who you are.

IAS was only going to go one way when they were bought by Sportsbet, the weakest of the weak.

that is why you don't be a hero, stay in your foxhole, just keep nipping away and stay off their Radar, they are greedy but you get banned because you are Greedy too!! it is a vicious circle, win a little off all of them, you win the same amount but don't get banned, try to bet above the thresh hold and it is like sticking your head out of your Foxhole to see what he weather is like, they have snipers waiting to get a bead on you and Blow you away, learn how to play their game, their way, if you don't you are out of the game altogether
