With the announcement into todays Sunday mail that Greyhounds are to go it alone at Logan where does that leave Harness racing.Albion park with a grandstand that is condemend and needs to be knocked down and rebuilt because of shonky work at the start.
Not sure if Cant do will throw the money in to rebuild or will it just mean Harness will wither and die as the Gold coast hasnt got much longer to go.

When was the last time you were @ Albion Park. The stand is long gone.

The code itself will be in dire straits with the proposed changes ahead with the allocation come 2014.
How can they survive on the percentage they are performing at.

They need a new place as quick as the dogs do.

Good the sooner they are  gone the better for all the mugs who bet on them if i had my way i would ban all Harness racing because its Australias most corrupt form of betting by a mile.

I once loved the sport and couldnt get to the track quick enough .but after what i have seen and been privy to over the years i now hate the sport and cant wait for the day its banned.

Full page appeal to Anna in the CM today from Barry Grimsey Chairman of the GCHRC Parklands asking for a fair go ......... they have been given notice to vacate Parklands on the way  the Gold Coast ...........the claim is that they have been refused compensation yet the Show Society which had no capital invested was given land at Carrara. angry

Prior to transferring to Parklands the GCHRC owned the  freehold of the old harness track Stephens Pacerway( just down from the Gold Coast Hospital} which was used for the Southjport school in 1988.

Maybe the Hon.Mulherin will get an opportunity to pour oil on troubled waters at his PR gig today 11.30 am on site at Cronulla Park in Underwood by making a commitment to the harness racers........who have no home to go to when they leave Parklands.  Shrug

Look it should not be code v code but when in rome do what the romans do which is what happens but the visitors are caught whilst the romans just keep going.

Hope that confuses everybody.

This explains a lot, and your opinion should be given about 3 secs attention because you are tainted.

If you hate the sport just walk away and find other things to do mate life's too short etc.
