It seems that every time I turn on the TV or pick up a newspaper or view a website, someone is going on about how good a particular actor is and how they deserve to earn $10's millions dollars every year  what

Actors, are paid liars only!!!!

They don't do anything at all to benefit the human race, yet they earn HUGE money???
In fact, they distract people from furthering the human race
What does that tell a half smart human about the "law of economics"?

The shift in technology  in recent years, is slowly taking from these paid liars paypackets, albeit very slowly.

Eventually, they will get what they actually deserve, which is similar to the average wage, but in the meantime, anyone who goes to the movies or buys DVDs etc is making a monkey(abeit quite often a good looking monkey) a  multi millionaire!!
Well done to you all!

God, I agree with Geoffrey and Wily.
Critters can talk for hours about George C Scott and know nothing about George Patton.
Something wrong there somewhere.

"revered" isn't the right word IMO..........although actors do attract lots of attention.....waiting rooms are full of mags with pics of celebrities in and out of favour......and if you want to see hysteria...see how long you can stay tuned to the garbage shows like "On the Red Carpet"provide.

I enjoy movies ...entertainment at an affordable price......lots of movies have a message.....make people think....maybe change your attitude...or inform you...others are based on close to real life dramas...history.... or books that tell an interesting story..same for TV shows ............entertainment...escapism....takes the boredom out of mundane lives...it's something to do...a break from punting..or playing golf ..or monoply.. or chinese checkers...or the four letter word WORK.

Ther's been some excellent movies and TV mini series lately... Breaking Bad..Boardwalk Empire..Mildred Pierce..Sopranos. The Wire  etc thumbsup

It is amazing though how highly paid leading actors are compared to other professions where years of training is required to earn a fraction of what the BIG stars command......quite obscene....like CEO's and company directors who set their own entitlements

It's almost universal they are members of a union..the Screen Actors Guild and many got their lucky break after working in low paid jobs ...waiting to be given an opportunity...which they made the most of............Good Luck to them I say.

The same could be said of authors, painters, musicians, sports stars, horse racing........but they do do something for the human race, they entertain us, and for that i am quite thankful.

  Thumb Up
