Silent Achiever &  Ocean Park.

Ocean Park was expected to win today, he slipped up inside - ran lead 200m - looked home but filly followed him late - then burst past him at 100m.

These are two talented horses. Expected she will go onto NZ Derby. Not sure if they will review his prep & drop back in distance or continue on.

Little doubt they would mix it with the best in Aust. Suspect one of the might be the best 1600m+ 3yo in Australasia. Worth catching the replay.

Leave my mate alone, please. He has turned over a new leaf and we are now great mates. He is a warm hearted and generous human being, even remembered my birthday, which is more than my daughter did......maybe I should dump her and adopt HIM instead.

Yes Steve I was on the winner of this race and thought James McDonald had been out-ridden only for the horse to switch course, follow the fav and make up a stack of ground over the last 200m or so. Not sure if the 2nd thing didn't stay the distance or whether the winner is something special. I suspect both.

Win again for Silent Achiever  Thumb Up

She was well back run off genuinely run race - angled out widest to turn then ran lead with no real trouble. Pretty soft on line. She is very talented horse.

Watch out for Dr Fremantle. Great run at Ellerslie behind Shez Sinsational, then unsuited by the pace at his next start, where at one stage they went so slowly Six O'Clock News had the lead!

Backed Six in the Wellington Cup, Had been chasing him for months, then gave him up, but missus threatened divorce if I didn't have comething on him. Thanks, Carolyn.  love

Put your second last on him if he runs in the Auckland Cup next month.

Sorry, came on the thread to point out the obvious mistake in the title.
Didn't know it was about racing.  rolleyes

Dr Fremantle isn't entered in the Auckland Cup, but has noms for the Australia Cup and the BMW, so looks like he's shown enough to come bac k across the Tasman.

Will be banking on Ocean Park to turn the tables in the Derby

Good luck Peter - I think the older types in NZ are pretty weak aren't they?

Ours aren't flash either, though I think those recent Euro imports have added a bit.
