Gee I reckon you sell the TJ Smith short, Hay List shot clear and she ran him down going away, how many others could do that? Was an awesome performance.

She made Hot Danish look like a scrubber as well.

Don't think she has the right build to run 2000m's, but not to say she still wouldn't win  chin

I backed Hay List that day, and was the turning point for me, with BC.

That IMHO, was her best win by far, for so many reasons.

First go, running clockwise, first time traveling, and the first time put under any pressure, and the first time we have ever seen her have to dig deep, and find another gear, which she did in emphatic style.

One thing I did take out of that though, was if she was ever going to get beaten by Hay List, it would have been over 1400m's, and ridden like he was that day.

I will tell ya this though for free.

She is (BC) at equal weight with a Caulfield Cup winner that won first up with 60kg and drops 3kgs on that effort.  In contract, BC goes up .5kg and 200m.

The question is, can Southern Speed improve 12 lengths?

I think also for what its worth, not that you can actually make money on her races, but:

The placings could go to Playing God, Illo and Southern Speed.  I am not even sure the Tri will pay $6 or the F4 $12.

She also beat Hay List in Brisbane pretty much the same way.

As Wenona said, she smashed Hot Danish and did the same to Melito.

So the list of horses she hasn't just beaten but absolutely destroyed

Hay List- was top 5 in the world
Hot Danish
Melito
Ortensia
Star Witness

Some of those horses have some pretty fair Overseas group one form, just as a bonus.

Ortensia finished within 1.5 lengths of Rocket Man, JJ the Jet Plane, Sacred Kingdom and Kingsgate Native 4 short weeks after being beaten by an eased up Black Caviar by 7 lengths.

While she will win well , I think the gap to 3rd will be just as big (SS has lengths on those 2 at this dist)- so those two bets should only be $2 each

And for that reason she never has to travel. Other horses constantly prove how good she is. The same thing goes for Frankel. Whilst they stay at home their conquered travel the world picking up the crumbs.

If you were running for second...they all are...how would you ride your horse with her in the race?
Will anyone bolt for home Karuta style and try to secure the second prize that way? or will all the jocks sit tight, slow jog and hope they can sprint 'second best' last 400 as she blows em away?
Debate...who will be leading at the 400 and by how much?
