Ironically they are saying that the reasoning is due to drought conditions--every Sunday at the Sunshine Coast seems to race on a heavy track.

This is true bgm1409, there are no water issues at the SCTC.

But they are probably in more need of a 'synthetic'track then most.
Trainers havn't been able to use the Gallop Grass for over a month because it is too wet, and the only other option is the sand track which is bitumen covered by sand, and when it gets really wet you can't gallop on it either as you may as well go gallop your horse down the main Freeway.

So you can imagine trying to be a trainer at the SCTC isn't all that much fun when trying to get a horse fit to go to the races.
