still in Brissy with her...moving back to Melbourne at the end of the year Sporty ( house I've got down there is nearly paid for...rapt about that )...mate I venture up to the Coast once a month...I tell ya if it wasn't for my work, the Gold Coast...and the Sunshine Coast I'd seriously classify Brisbane a "hole"...geez there are heaps of "ferals" here...they are so behind the times...Unitab is up shit creek with the jackpots...the roads are crap...transport is crap late at night if you want to drink...it's amazing I've lasted nearly 3 years here...nothing beats Melbourne...haven't lived in WA, SA, NT or TAS but I'm pretty sure Melbourne have them covered. That's my opinion anyway.

I was looking for THE LIGHTNING STAKES discussion thread...I couldn't find one...
Just wanted to pass on my thoughts...I think the Value runner is Typhoon Zed at 20/1...loves 1000 metres...likes the track...likes it dry...got a good jockey aboard...goes well first up...and is a Group 2 Winner.
Ok a couple of obstacles here...the Hussler and The Cat...of course both can win...but geez I've been doing the form for 25 years...can't recall a horse having had it's last start over 2400 metres winning first up in a Group 1 over 1000 metres. If anyone can do it...then it's the Hussler...but I won't be having nothing of the Evens on offer...gross unders...then we have The Cat from a short let up after Hong Kong...I've just got this vibe both will need the run...both will run sensational but will fall just short of victory. I'm not a tool...both of course will be in my Quaddie...but at the price I'm backing TZ e/w at the 20's...he will give a great sight.

KD This site has a powerful search engine (at top right of forum page) and typed 'lighting stakes' you would have found it in about two seconds. Be mindful what you type in the search things like of; and I etc will increase the No of posts it finds. In the meantime go here for the Lighting Stakes: http://www.racehorsetalk.com.au/index.php/topic,3038.0.html
