Following on from the hugely successful (and very popular) SELECTIONS and RUN OF THE WEEK threads on Brisbane Racing, it's high time we started another one...
This time it's for horses who are seen as non-winners, over-rated, not up to city class, etc, etc.
Let's see who's the first to pick a next-start winner.

Charge A Fortune at its 2nd start-won 50% of its races.
Trusted Partner-won 50% of its races.
Big calls.

Those stats apply to the past, Paulow.

The red-card dealer is looking to the future.

By all means ignore them.  smiley

Perhaps we should red card Belle D'Amour?

I was a big fan of the filly, but I'm not so sure she's come back at all. Saturday's run was too bad to be true; there has to be something wrong with her.

Plenty of punters had the red card out for THE REVELLER after a lack-lustre performance yesterday.

He's a talented, but tricky fellow.  Won't do his best inside horses.

Wait till he's freshened and gets back to 1200 in a big field. rolleyes

Went looking for an explanation to the poor performance of Trail Boss in the fourth & notcied among other things that the stewards have felony flight runnning 2nd & 4th   what  decided to post for general amusement   lol

How bad was TB run?

Report refers to  Tafeer & The Reveller racing fiercely for some distance approcahing & passing the 1000m ----obviously didnt like each other? & this may have accounted for some part of the Revellers performance & Tafeer lost a plate??

Race 4: KFC Benchmark 85 H'cap - 1300m
1st - Symposium 2nd - Felony Flight 3rd - God's Window 4th - Felony Flight

PARIS BLUE (M. Vance) lost its footing behind on jumping away and lost ground.

LANCET (A. Spinks) and TAFEER (R. McMahon) bumped at the start.

GENERAL PURPLE (M. McGuren) began awkwardly.

P. Hammersley, rider of FELONY FLIGHT, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding, in that near the 1150m he permitted his mount to shift in when insufficiently clear of ATLANTA FALCON (T. Bell), resulting in that horse being taken in on to LANCET (A. Spinks), resulting in A. Spinks having to take hold of LANCETA and relinquish its rightful position. PARIS BLUE, which was trailing LANCETA, was obliged to shift out to avoid the heels of that runner and then became awkwardly placed on the heels of SYMPOSIUM and had to be checked. P. Hammersley was suspended from riding in races for a period covered by 6 meetings, to commence at midnight, 9 April and to expire at midnight, 18 April.

For some distance approaching and passing the 1000m, TAFEER and THE REVELLER (P. Keane) raced fiercely.

GENERAL PURPLE, EASTLINE (A. Allen), BIANCA JEWEL (R. Wiggins) and LOOPED (D. Browne) raced wide throughout.

GENERAL PURPLE laid in under pressure in the straight.

A post race veterinary examinations revealed: PARIS BLU had sustained a laceration to the near foreleg having been galloped on, and LANCET sustained lacerations to both hind bumpers.

TAFEER lost its near hind plate in running.

Is this where you Red Card the "Ride of the Week".  If it is, hand it to the sheila that rode Dansal in the 1st in Brisbane on the weekend.

She slaughtered it.  Should have won by 2 lenghts.

Is QLD the only state whose handicapper has the need to rate a horse to half a point ?

The handicapping department should get a red card for this stupidity.
